What You'll Learn:
The Wave 1 course covers all the essentials of freediving, making you an autonomous freediver ready to explore depths between 12 and 20 meters. By the end of the course, you’ll have mastered:

• Proper freediving techniques and efficient body movement underwater.
• Equalization and breath-holding strategies for comfort and safety.
• The physics and physiology of freediving, including pressure and buoyancy principles.
• Mental skills like relaxation and visualization to enhance your dives.
• Essential safety and buddying techniques, including rescue procedures.

Course Requirements:
To enroll, participants must be able to:

• Swim 200 meters unassisted and non-stop in a pool setting.

Passing Requirements:

• Pool Performance:
  • Static Apnea: 1 min 30 sec.
  • Dynamic Bifins (DYNB): 30 meters.
• Open Water Performance:
  • Constant Weight Bifins (CWTB) and Free Immersion (FIM): 12-20 meters.
  • Buddying CWTB: 6-10 meters.
  • Rescue Procedures: 6-10 meters.
